Nylah Dhawan is a student at the Vasant Valley School in New Delhi where she studies English, Spanish, Mathematics, Coordinated Science, Business Studies, Economics, Global Perspectives, History, and Computer Science as part of the IGCSE curriculum. Nylah has varied academic interests, although she is particularly interested in making an environment-centered impact by employing sustainable practices to improve community health outcomes.
Nylah enjoys exploring academic enrichment opportunities outside school as well, and has completed the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes ‘Introduction to Human Computer Interaction’ course, where she received exposure to the interdisciplinary fields of computer science, psychology, and design to understand how people interact with technology. She has also participated in external competitive exams, securing gold medals in the Silverzone Science, Maths, and English Olympiads.
Aside from her academic interests, Nylah is also a skilled musician and athlete. She has been practicing guitar since 2019, and has also cleared the Grade 5 Tabla Examinations. In 2020, she began teaching herself the fundamentals of music production, undertaking online certification courses for the same.
